I'm Back!

So I have decided that I've been on a long enough hiatus from the blog, so I better get my butt in gear and keep you all updated on what's going on with our little family here. The little guy seems to keep me rather busy, but I'm sure I can manage to squeeze in some updates. As you can see from Thomas' picture, I finally received my picky stickys. What are they you ask? Well, they are stickers that have each month on them for the first year and I stick them on whatever Thomas is wearing to document what he looked like at that month. Hence, the 1 month sticker in the photo. Technically he is 1 month and 1 week, but I just got them....so don't tell!

Today was also exciting because we had our first explosive diaper. Oh yes, the joys of being a mom! It was after Thomas's nap and we were laying on the couch when I heard it. I knew it wasn't going to be contained to the confines of his diaper, and sure enough, it wasn't! It came out the leg, all over the moby, me and the clean sheet that was on the couch. Luckily, it didn't get on the couch itself. Thomas thought it was pretty funny....I was not as amused, however, I know it could have been much worse. And I'm sure that is not the last or worst explosive diaper I will be seeing.

He is getting so big! I think I'm going to have to put away the newborn clothes soon because I don't think he will be fitting in them much longer. Now that I discovered the video camera, I will be putting up short clips of him on here for you all to see. It just sits on the coffee table so we can catch all his smiles and chatter. I'll have to remember to grab it for one of his changes though because he seems to light up whenever we go in for a diaper change. I mean, who wouldn't be excited to get their wet, smelly diaper changed? Nathan also seems convinced that he is starting to teeth already. He has started to drool in the last few days and according to Nathan (who must just sit at work all day and read about babies because he seems to be an expert on everything), excessive drooling means that he is starting to teeth. So we will see.

Stay tuned for more exciting adventures from the Beckmans...
